Overview
For two consecutive years, an Amazfit-wearing athlete crossed the finish line first at UTMB, and Zepp OS 6 running on more devices than ever before. The platform side of this cycle is done. What remains is the part we cannot build alone: software that earns a permanent place on people's wrists. This year we are looking for useful, well-crafted apps you would install today - and keep for months and years.

This year's competition introduces a fourth category - "Health & Daily Wellness", calling for ideas that go deeper than the built-in trackers - personalized insights, daily companions, and recovery intelligence built on Zepp OS health data. It also points to where we're headed: apps that let you command AI agents from your wrist and get their results back on it.

Connect Zepp OS devices to external services, Bluetooth hardware, or AI agents - a direct link from your watch to a continuous glucose monitor, or a bridge to the tools you already use. We encourage connections you control - device links, backends, or agent interfaces you operate and maintain yourself.

Pro Sports & Outdoor

Leverage the rich sensor capabilities of Zepp OS devices to deliver professional solutions: sports performance improvement, sports science knowledge, event information and reminders, and outdoor adventure assistance.

One award. One winner. Across all categories.

This year, one of the Gold Awards is elevated to a single Star Award. After scoring is complete, the jury selects the single best app across all categories; it receives the Amazfit Balance Ultra + $300 gift card in place of the Gold prize.

A unified sleep + nap timeline that makes sense of irregular schedules, plus recovery insights you can actually act on.

Health sensor bridges & dashboards

Companion apps for CGMs and other BLE health devices.

Elevation explorer

Altitude profiling for hikers and climbers with rich elevation charts, vertical meters, and summit stats.

Streak & habit keeper

Track the routines you care about - workouts, languages, reading - and get a nudge before a streak breaks, so your momentum carries into tomorrow.

Swim coach

Lap counting and stroke insight beyond the built-in view: splits, pacing, drill tracking.

How to join the Zepp OS community?
How do I get started if I have no Zepp OS development experience?
  • Discord -> 💡tutorials
  • Follow Zepp OS documentation and start by creating Mini-programs or workout extensions based on the sample v3 template.
What if I don’t have an idea?
  • Join the community (Discord -> #🤝looking-for-team channel) and discuss product design with experts to receive suggestions.
How do I test if I don’t have a smartwatch?
  • It’s recommended to start testing with the simulator. Zepp Health staff can assist with testing.
Is team participation limited?
  • There are no limits on team size or participation. Awards are granted per project rather than per individual. For example, if Team A — with three members — submits an app and wins the Gold Award in the Smartwatch Connectivity category, the team will receive one Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro and a $300 gift card. Team members may divide the prize as they wish (e.g., $100 each or $150/$150), ensuring no single person is solely responsible for managing the funds.
Prize Distribution for Gift Cards:
  • The competition organizer will attempt to purchase gift cards supported in your country to ensure that prizes can be distributed to the winners, which will usually be Amazon Gift Cards or Prepaid VISA Cards.
